Week 5 Training Plan

The plan for week five is:

Tuesday:
General run - 4 miles (Running Club)
Friday: Easy run - 3.1 miles
Or
Saturday:
Tempo run - 5km (ParkRun)
Sunday: Long run - 10 miles

Weekly Total: 17.1 miles

    I'm planning a bit of a taper period. The Sunday before the run (usually 'long run day'), I'm planning on just doing 6 miles, then two 3 milers in the week before (probably Tuesday and Friday) before the race on Sunday.
    I'm getting quite nervous about it now! What about you? :)

  3. I've not started my offical training as I still have 15 weeks, & just easing back into running this week after my ITB injury / niggle. Ran 5km today in 28 mins 50 & it feels great so think I'm healed. At the moment I'm running about 15 miles a week so if I keep up the training fingers crossed it'll all be good, but yeah I'm nervous too.
    I know that you will do really well I just have a gut feeling - I think you have the same kind of positive attitude I do. After all losing 4.5stone isn't an easy task - look what you have achieved so far - you are amazing :-)
